Cookie Policy of the Fondazione Consulcesi website

Cookies used by the website fondazioneconsulcesi.org

A) WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files containing a certain amount of information exchanged between a website and the user’s terminal (usually the browser). They are mainly used for the purpose of making websites work and operate more efficiently, as well as for the purpose of providing information to the owners of the website itself. Cookies can be either session or persistent. Session cookies remain stored in the terminal for a short period of time and are deleted as soon as the user closes the browser. Their use is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable secure and efficient exploration of the site. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, remain stored in the user’s terminal until a predetermined expiration date. These, since they are not deleted directly when the browser is closed, allow to remember the choices made by the user on its site as well as to collect information about the pages of the site visited by the user, the frequency with which the site is visited and to identify the navigation path of users, in order to improve the experience on this site. Cookies, whether session or persistent, can be finally First Party or Third Party depending on whether the party installing the cookies on the user’s terminal is the same operator of the site the user is visiting (we will then speak of First Party cookies) or a different party (we will then speak of Third Party cookies).

B) TECHNICAL COOKIES

Technical cookies are cookies indispensable to the operation of the site or required to perform service user requests, e.g. those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary in order to provide a service explicitly requested by the user.

There are two types of technical cookies:

Session cookies: temporary cookie files, which are erased when you close your browser. When you restart your browser and go back to the site that created the cookie, the website will not recognize you.

Persistent cookies – these files (stored permanently on the user’s computer) are sent to the server and are available for future visits.

The site uses both types of cookies.

C) THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

Third-party cookies on the site (Google Analytics) are used for statistical purposes; these cookies collect information that is used in aggregate form in order to monitor and analyze access to all areas of the site. The use of Google Analytics cookies is done anonymously, thus not allowing any identification of the data subject, not even through the IP address. As clarified by the Guarantor Authority in a measure on cookies of May 8, 2014, the use of anonymous third-party analytical cookies is comparable to the use of technical cookies, thus not requiring the prior consent of the data subject. However, the data subject has the possibility to object to the use of third-party analytical cookies through the opt-out tool available at the following link http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en That is, through the browser used.
